Knitting in Town

Ever wondered where to meet other knitters in Dublin?

If you happen to be in the city centre on a Saturday, why not pop in at Accents Tea and Coffee Lounge, currently the home of the first City Centre SnB group.
This group was born to a small group of Dublin knitters in 2006, who met once a month in the city centre.

Nine years on, this group has moved from Exchequer Street to Westmoreland to Curve Street to Lower St Stephen Street.

Since then, it has spawned one city centre group in Temple Bar, an annual TwitKnit gathering post- Christmas, hosted several meet and greets for knitters visiting Dublin from abroad and has happily sat back knitting, crocheting, drop spindling.

Today, the group still meet every Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. When you first enter the cafe and order any one of Accents yummy beverages, just ask the friendly staff where the knitters are…and they’ll direct you to their little knitting corner.
