We’re Leaping to Heuston….

The 29th of February comes around every four years and it’s a great day to share some exciting news…

Knitwear designer and dyer, Yvonne of Dublin Dye has just released a new pattern. Her patterns are named after areas in and around Dublin. The latest release, Heuston is a cosy and comfortable hat with a cable and rib pattern that will look great with or without a pompom.

Read all about this lovely hat pattern and the Dublin Simon Community in her blogpost .

It’s the perfect project to take on the train from Heuston Station to Cork Kent Station.

Here at Knitting HQ, we are excited about this pattern for three reasons:

1) Yvonne is donating the proceeds of this hat until the end of March to the Dublin Simon Community, a charity who work with the homeless in and around Dublin. They support homeless people and work with them to get them out of temporary accommodation and into permanent homes.

2) We are adding to the fun by hosting a  knit along for the Heuston hat. Cast on is the 6th of March, and the deadline is April 3rd.

3) If you finish a hat in by that date you’ll be entered into a draw for a skein of Dublin Dye Merino DK in the colour of your choice! We will have an online parade of finished by hats… More on that later.

So please join us in supporting Yvonne’s charity drive for the Dublin Simon Community.
