Are you celebrating  World Wide Knit in Public Day ?

Join the Dublin Chicks with Sticks’ Meet Up event at St. Stephen’s Green, near the Pavilion  (the stand by the lake) from 12pm to 3pm. If the weather is not cooperating, retreat to the nearest KC Peaches.

 SSK?

I am delighted to announce a new collaboration between the DKC and The Constant Knitter.

This summer, I will be doing what I do best, knitworking and Rosemary will open the Studio for knitters and crocheters on the fourth Sunday during the summer months.

We would be delighted if you can join us on Sunday 25th June / 23rd July / 27th August from 2pm to 4pm.

We’ll put the kettle on, so bring a wip or start a new one and knitwork.

You Spin Me Round

Creative spinning has taken over much of my free time since April. Take a peak over at the  Irish Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers’ website to see what I’m up to over there.

My spinning mojo has returned with the musical inspiration of one of my favourite dance tunes.  As I spin my spindle round and round, my fibre stash is undergoing a metamorphosis.

Roving is magically turning into beautiful  handspun.

P/HOP is Coming to Dublin

Did you see the latest ” I’ll be there! “post over on my Facebook page

I am absolutely delighted that the P/Hop Trunk Show is coming to Dublin this Sunday.

For those of you wondering, p/hop, is a charity knitting project that raises funds for the emergency medical aid organisation, Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders

P/HOP Co-ordinator, Heidi a.k.a. @readysetstitch will be at The Constant Knitter  with a selection of p/hop’s accessories that we, knitters just love to knit. I can’t wait to see the samples of shawls, cowls, socks and hats.

This event will be my opportunity to learn more about p/hop’s charitable efforts and how I can get involved.

I hope you’ll knitwork with me to find out why MSF is my charity of choice.
