A tale of a midsummer dream come true…

Midsummer is a time to celebrate the season when days are longer, brighter and the flowers are blooming.

Rosemary of  The Constant Knitter and I came up with Summer Sunday Knitting (SSK),a social gathering to fete the summer solstice.

The first SSK social was a lovely way to spend last Sunday afternoon. A parade of FOs and wips made me curious to look up the patterns on Ravelry once I got home.

I found myself observing the social interaction at this knitworking event and I felt a sense of pride as people who were friends,  acquaintences and strangers were engaging on a level that would make knitters/crocheters like you and me feel so welcome and wanting to come back next month. Me thinks this midsummer afternoon was a success.

Our next SSK is on Sunday 23rd July when we celebrate Christmas in July!
